First Holy Communion Practices

Monday 4/ 30 for the Sunday 9am and 12 noon – 5 – 6:30pm.

Tuesday 5/1 for the Saturday 10am – 5 – 6:30 

and for the 6:30 mass – 6:30 – 7pm.

Wednesday 5/2 for the Saturday 12 noon – 5:30 – 7pm.

ACTION ALERT

Dear SJGS Families:

The New Jersey Catholic Conference and the Diocese of Trenton recently forwarded an Action Alert regarding the Governor’s Budget for the School Year 2018 - 2019. 
The full text of this Action Alert is posted here and on our website.

The new budget contains funding cuts in non-public school programs significantly reducing funding in the areas of transportation, nursing services, technology and school security. Transportation is being reduced back to the previous amount and will greatly affect our students.

As Principal of St. Joseph Grade School, I am seeking your help and support in contacting the New Jersey State Legislature to express your disapproval of these funding cuts by accessing the Votervoice link below. It is a fairly simple process taking no more than five minutes of your time. There are two separate letters that will require your name and contact information: one to the budget committee members and one to the non-members.  When you submit your completed form, you will receive an e-mail regarding a code.  You may ignore that request, which is only necessary if you wish to change your contact information.

Please ask other family members and colleagues to contact the State Legislature about these cuts. The more people that express their disapproval the more impact we will have to create change. The budget cuts will negatively impact our children and this community. We are a powerful force when united in a common cause.  Let our voices be heard to ensure the well-being of Catholic School students throughout the State of New Jersey.

 If you are planning an unscheduled visit, (to drop off lunch, school work, projects, practice gear, etc.) please call the main office prior to your arrival to let us know you are coming. When arriving at the school, you will be asked your name and reason for your visit before being allowed to enter the building. Please first sign in at the security desk and/or the front office for check in.

When visitors, volunteers, vendors, or parents/guardians arrive to pick up students, a valid state issued ID will be required at the front desk.  By asking visitors to present a valid state ID, it is our hope that we can provide a safe school

Parent Access
All parents of children in grades 3-8 have access to Parent Access, our online program that gives parents the ability to view their children’s grades. If we have a current email address for you then you received an email from Genesis, our database provider with your user name and password. If we do not have a current email address for you please call the main office and speak to Mrs. Doran to update your email address. Her phone number is 732 349 2355 x 2004. Mrs. Doran will then notify the Diocese and Genesis will send you your credentials.

If you FORGET or LOSE your password please use the "Forgot my Password" feature. If you still can't login call Mrs. Doran in the main office at 732 349 2355 x2004. Please do not call the Diocesan office for this information. The individual school is the only one who knows their parents and the Diocese cannot give out that information. This protocol is in place for the protection and privacy of the parents and students.
